The City of Harrisville, Michigan is located on the stunning western shore of Lake Huron. This quaint city on the shores of Lake Huron features an outstanding harbor for recreational boaters,one of the state’s most impressive parks and one of Michigan’s biggest Art Fairs!

As a center for salmon and trout fishing the harbor is a favorite of fishermen from around the country. The US Coast Guard has designated this beautiful facility a “Harbor of Refuge” on Lake Huron. The Lake Huron beaches in and around Harrisville (including two state parks) have been recognized as being among the “Top Ten in Michigan.” Harrisville is a permanent home to many long time residents as well as families who have vacationed in this well kept Michigan paradise for generations.

Outdoorsman of all types enjoy immediate access to the Huron National Forest, which offers outdoor recreational opportunities such as hunting, swimming, cross-country skiing and trout fishing. The forest contains 330 miles (530 km) of hiking trails. The beauty this forest displays throughout the seasons is truly breathtaking. Take a moment to visit Sturgeon Point Light Station, a lighthouse and museum that is just a few miles to the north and is open to the public.
