Hunting and Fishing

Fishing

The Great Lakes offer one of the most important fishing resources in North America, and Lake Huron is easily accessible in Harrisville. Smallmouth bass, yellow perch and walleye often can be caught fairly close to shore, and fishing for salmon and steelhead can be very productive in offshore areas. You can find fishing access in Harrisville State Park and Harbor Park, including boat launching facilities and docks.

There are a large number of smaller inland lakes that offer public access. These lakes include:

Brownie, Lincoln

Jewel, Lincoln

Hubbard, Hubbard Lake

Long Lake, Alpena

Grand Lake, Alpena
